Find out whether ChatGPT, Google, and Perplexity recommend your business when customers ask, and what to do about it.
Open ChatGPT and log out, or start a Temporary Chat. Then ask:
“Who’s the best [your service] in [your city]?”
Look at the names in the answer. Is yours one of them? Whatever you find, the rest of this page gives you the full picture in about 10 minutes.
More customers now ask an AI tool “who should I call?” instead of scrolling through search results. They get a short answer with a few business names in it, and many call one of those names without visiting a single website. If your name isn’t in the answer, you don’t get the call, even if you rank well on Google.
Your reviews, your listings across the web, and your own website all need to tell the same clear story. The more places that agree about who you are and what you do, the more likely AI is to recommend you.
Fill these in and the questions below update for you. Use the words a customer would use, not industry terms.
AI tools can tailor answers to the person asking, so check the way a stranger would.
Always include your city in the question, even when you’re searching from your own town.
Ask all five questions on all three platforms. Tap each box to mark what you found, and note who was named instead.

AI tools decide who to name based on three main signals.
Three quick wins you can do yourself. Check them off as you go.
These help, but they’re the start. The full fix means cleaning up dozens of listings, adding code to your site, and building a steady review routine, then keeping it up month after month, because AI answers keep changing.
